Turn Imagination Into Reality With Legacy Giving

Imagine if there were no Yellowstone National Park. What would it be like without other spectacular parks like Yosemite and Everglades in the U.S., Banff and Jasper in Canada, or Desierto de los Leones in Mexico? What if these very special places were never protected? Worse yet, what would they become if the remarkable wildlife living in them disappeared? It is unimaginable.

Some 90 years ago, leaders in three countries had the foresight to establish national parks across the continent. Still, we now know that without connectivity between protected areas, these large preserves are too isolated to provide for species that are wide-ranging.

Now, envision a larger Yellowstone, a larger Everglades. Imagine a North America with four continental corridors connecting protected lands and providing habitat for a variety of life. Not only is this imaginable, it is the Wildlands Project vision backed up with rigorous science. For the past 15 years and into the future, we are working to make this vision a reality.

We recognize that our vision for continental-scale connectivity will only occur over time with dedicated networks of people getting the job done. Our priorities are very much based on addressing the most pressing needs; however, we never lose sight of the larger need for continental-scale connectivity as part of our long-term vision.

To help meet the needs of conserving our wild heritage not only now, but in the future, The Wildlands Project has established a legacy program. Bequests such as the recent gift from the Elaine C. Burton estate help us secure our future. By endowing the Wildlands Project through legacy gifts, you can help guarantee that Wildlands Project will be here in 50 years to safeguard our shared vision.

Please consider a legacy gift to Wildlands Project when consulting with your estate planner. Contact us directly or have your lawyer or estate planner contact us at kellie@wildlandsproject.org to find out how.
